Dub Strike

After the coming out of "Dub Assault" in 2003, this talented music group could widen the circle of their admirers with the exit of his new album "Dub Strike" on the Sounds Around label. Co-realized by the group and Thierry Arnold, this opus includes new titles as well as collaborations with Manutension, Earl 16 and a brass section.

Mixing traditional instruments and electronic processing, the group distils a dub mucic clearly inspired by the british scene which dissociates him from the "french dub" influence.

Sharp skanks, strong rhythmics, soft and spellbinding feminine voice, and a concert live remix : the whole constitutes the major assets leading to a ventilated and limpid music which does not drown in the overload of effects but explores various facets of the dub, between jamaïcaine mugginess and londonien fog. Powerful during lives and autonomous in studio, SISM-X are certainly the dub revelation of the year. Their perfect scenic performances, their participations on many compilations and this first intense album have started to compel recognition of Sism-x in France, where the dub from now on is firmly established.
